The staff at the practice are here to help you. Please be patient when they are busy. Should you have any queries or suggestions about non-medical aspects of your care, please ask to speak to the team leaders, deputy practice manager or practice manager.
Ruth is a registered nurse with advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness and general family health problems. She is able to instigate blood tests and investigations. She has a special interest in cardiovascular disease, family planning and sexual health. She sees new patients for health checks, performs certain other nursing duties and is available to advise on all nursing problems and provide telephone advice on general medical matters.
The practice nurses are registered nurses who run clinics in asthma, diabetes, blood pressure, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), family planning, cervical smears, stop smoking, baby immunisations, travel immunisations and other specialised clinics in conjunction with the nurse practitioner and the partners.
